Infernal Gates Press was conceived by author Lylith Nyx to showcase her unique style of "pink horrotica" fiction. While erotic horror is often misunderstood as lacking depth of narrative, being solely focused on gore and sexual scenes, Lylith's stories blend elements of erotica and horror sensually, portraying paranormal characters with relatable human desires, needs and fears. Her work sheds light on marginalized 'monster' characters, drawing parallels with the portrayal of women in horror as monstrous figures—shamed for their formidability and wisdom—and more than capable of taking the leading role. Lylith aims to redefine the concept of 'monster' and debunk the misconceptions about feminist horror, emphasizing empowerment over man-hating. She challenges the traditional 'final girl' or 'damsel in distress' narratives by featuring flawed and damaged yet ferocious and empowered characters who reclaim their agency in a society influenced by patriarchal intolerance, violence and fear. Pink Horrotica and Pink Horror women embody strength and fearlessness as they assert their power in a uniquely monstrous fashion, flipping the script on male domination and misogyny in horror and erotica.
Unashamedly Depraved . Fearlessly Kinky . Proudly Horrotica
Infernal Gates Press are also an independent publisher supporting indie horrotica and horror fiction, giving a platform to authors in the overlooked, and sometimes unfairly judged, genre of erotic horror, as well as promoting female led pink horror.

The Infernal Gates Press Team include the Goddess of Horrotica and Mistress of Monsters, author and Editor Lylith Nyx. She is also the co-founder of Infernal Gates Press, Pink Shock Coven and Cult Horrotica Magazine, alongside Submissions Editor and Staff Writer, Herne The Horned. You can also find Lylith inside The Cult of Lylith where she re-tells erotic horror tales from the perspective of the monsters that have sought refuge within.

Cult Horrotica Magazine's first issue launched on October, 31st, 2023. This digital publication was a passion project that was crafted with the intention of giving a voice to authors in the overlooked genre of erotic horror. Horrotica is our own unique and special brand of erotic horror, which also included the sub-genres splatter erotica and occultica. This magazine in its current form has now been laid to rest, but you can still purchase copies from our online shop. A new magazine will return later in the year called Pink Horrotica Cult, which will be more focused on erotica and occultica written from a female perspective.
